Nursing student murdered on June 22, 2017, during a protest on the Francisco Fajardo highway in the Distrito Capital. David was in front of the La Carlota military airbase when an officer of the Fuerzas Armadas shot him in the chest. He died from hypovolemic shock due to internal hemorrhaging caused by the perforation of his heart, liver, and lung. His case is currently awaiting trial, with no tangible hopes for justice.
