A cameraman’s assistant and father, murdered on June 28, 2017, by an officer of the Guardia Nacional Bolivariana during a protest in Barquisimeto, Lara state. The case is currently in the investigation stage, where the GNB continues to withhold requested information. The latest communication received by his relatives indicates an intent to close the case. For these reasons, there are few expectations of finding justice within the Venezuelan internal system.
